About Jason

Jason has been playing volleyball recreationally for most of his life and has spent the last 15+ years competing at Aussie’s Beach Bar, where he developed a deep passion for the game and the volleyball community.

Jason’s coaching journey began when his daughter, Brooklynn, wanted to learn how to play volleyball. That passion for helping young athletes grow led him to coach with i9 Sports for several seasons before spending two years coaching at DSYSA. He then became the inaugural Head Coach for the 11U DS Elite Rise team, helping launch the program’s first season. Under his leadership, the team competed in five tournaments, earning one first-place finish, two second-place finishes, and a Top 10 finish at Regionals.

As a coach, Jason emphasizes teamwork, communication, strong fundamentals, and goal setting, while ensuring athletes have fun and enjoy the game. He believes that creating a positive and supportive environment allows players to develop confidence, improve their skills, and grow both on and off the court.

When he’s not coaching volleyball, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. You can usually find him at a baseball field cheering on his son or out on the golf course. Professionally, Jason works full-time for Novo Nordisk.

Jason is excited to continue helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game as he leads 12 Ruby this season.
